Candidate Statement in 2014
Moreno Valley was incorporated with the goal of providing its residents and businesses a superior quality of life in a safe and prosperous community. The city government was to exemplify good management through open and ethical operations, customer-friendly services, and responsible planning. With your support, I will fight to bring back the values that once inspired us to strive for greatness and not simply to settle for mediocrity.
I have lived in Moreno Valley for 20 years, raising a family of whom I am very proud. I have worked in law enforcement for 13 years, holding defendants accountable for their actions while at the same time encouraging them to improve their lives through lawful means. I am well aware of the issues confronting the Parole Re-Alignment (AB109) and the dangers it poses to the community. As such, public safety will be my top priority, followed very closely by fiscal responsibility and diversified economic investment.
I have a B.A. degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, majoring in Philosophy and minoring in Political Science. I believe in an open and responsive government. Please email me your thoughts and concerns at [email protected] so I can carry your voice to the City Council.
A voice for the people
In 2014, I ran for Moreno Valley City Council, District 2; to make positive changes for our city. I ran not to tell you what I thought you needed or what I thought was right, but to find our what you wanted and to carry your voice into the council chamber.
Being a voice for the people was a key element of my campaign. I tried to earn your vote in 2014, through my character, deeds, and message not buy the election with large signs, robo-calls, and junk mail. I may try again in 2018, so please continue emailing me your questions, and/or concerns at [email protected].
Thank you for your support!
